Sheet Setup
Build printable graph paper with fixed template families, then export a vector PDF for clean printing.
Template
Full-page cartesian grid with heavier major guides every fifth interval.
Spacing And Margins
Advanced
First-quadrant XY uses the entered min and max values directly. Centered XY is normalized to symmetric extents about zero so the centered axes remain true X/Y axes.
Scale is interpreted against one minor interval. Orthogonal templates also report the implied square-box area.
Export Notes
- PDF export is vector-based, so lines and dots stay crisp when printed.
- Printer dialogs should use actual size or 100% scaling if physical spacing matters.
- Margins define the printable graph area, not a forced printer-safe hardware margin.
Live Preview
Preview uses the same geometry as the exported PDF, with a dashed printable-area guide.
A 5 mm grid is only 5 mm if you print it at 100%. The PDF carries true physical spacing, but "fit to page", "shrink oversized pages" and borderless printing all rescale it, and most print dialogs default to one of them. Check the first sheet against a ruler before measuring anything off it, and do not use printed squares as a dimensional reference for drafting, machining or any measurement that matters.
